Student Refunds

Students may be eligible to receive a refund if they have a credit balance on their account as a result of financial aid, scholarships, or personal payments. COCC has partnered with Touchnet and Heartland to deliver refunds to students in a timely manner. We recommend all students choose a refund delivery method as most students will receive a refund at some point in time.  Always maintain a current and active mailing address regardless of which method you choose.


Refund Method Options

  • Direct Deposit to your personal checking or savings account
    This is the preferred refund method and allows Heartland to deposit refunds to you quickly and safely. You will need to log into your bobcat web account and navigate to the setup page to choose this delivery method (available in 1-2 Days). 
  • Paper check mailed directly to your current mailing address
    This is the default refund method but you can also elect this as a permanent choice. If you take no action this is how your refund will be delivered but if you would like to physically select this option navigate to the setup page through your bobcat web account (available in 5-10 business days).

Choosing your refund method

  1. Log into your bobcat web account
  2. Select “Sign up or manage your student refunds account”
  3. You may receive a pop up box but if not select Electronic Refunds from the right-hand menu
  4. Select Choose your refund delivery method

Your method of choice will remain as long as you are a current student but you may change types at any time. Please allow 24 hours for changes to take effect.

You must have a valid mailing address, email, phone number, and birth date on file in order for your refund to process. Please update your information regularly to avoid errors in issuing your refund.
