Sean joined COCC's faculty in 2019 and teaches philosophy courses, including PHL 200: Fundamentals of Philosophy, PHL 201: Epistemology - Knowledge, Science, and the History of Reason, PHL 202: Problems of Philosophy - Ethics, and PHL 209: Philosophy of Race and Decolonization. Students in his classes investigate  topics such as ethics, religion, justice, and free will and their relevance to everyday life. Sean offers courses online as well as in-person at the branch campuses. 


Adam Haaga

Adam has taught at COCC since 2018 and offers in-person classes on our Bend and branch campuses.  Adam teaches our foundational Philosophy courses as well as PHL 170: Philosophy of Love and Sex and PHL 209: Race and Decolonization.  In his courses, Adam explores topics such as the historical relationship between colonial powers and the production of global racial inequality, class struggle, mass human connection, and romantic love.  Adam also teaches PS 206: Intro to Political Thought, which explores the diversity of thought and the major political themes of justice, equality, democracy, power, and liberty.
