Program-Specific Information

COCC’s Nursing program provides a career ladder, with exit points at the Practical Nurse (PN), Registered Nurse (RN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) levels. Students seeking either a Certificate of Completion (PN) or an Associate of Applied Science (RN), regardless of desired exit point, must complete the required prerequisite courses, then apply during Spring term. If accepted, students enter the program for a Fall term cohort start.

The Nursing program is approved by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, aligning with the legal standards of practice necessary for professional licensure in the state of Oregon. Those considering relocation to another U.S. state can explore the program’s licensure resources
