Mandalynn Marcus

Mandalynn Marcus is a seasoned health information management professional with over 20 years of experience. In addition to a master's degree in health informatics and a bachelor’s health information management, she holds six specialized certifications, highlighting her dedication to staying at the forefront of industry advancements.
After many years in the health information field, Mandalynn was compelled to use her expertise as a college professor. “My top priority is creating a classroom environment that nurtures curiosity and critical thinking,” she says. “This helps ensure graduates are able to thrive as professionals in the field.” Some of her favorite courses to teach include Health Information Standards, Reimbursement Systems, and Quality Improvement in Health Care.
Students in Mandalynn’s courses quickly discover her focus on continuous improvement. This emphasis also comes through whether she is mentoring colleagues, conducting workshops, or participating in professional development initiatives. “It’s all about elevating the profession and ensuring students are ready for entry into this dynamic career,” she says.

Christi Lemire, M.S.H.I.M., RHIA, CCS, CHC, CPC, CPB, CPMA

Christi Lemire holds a Master of Science in Health Information Management, a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, and a Digital Health Leader Certificate. She is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and maintains several professional certifications, including CCS, CHC, CPC, CPB, and CPMA. Her professional background includes leadership, auditing, and compliance roles across both the public and private sectors in healthcare. Christi has more than 35 years of experience, including owning and operating a medical billing and consulting company focused on coding accuracy, billing compliance, and revenue cycle optimization. Through her work, she has developed extensive experience in regulatory compliance, health data management, and operational improvement within healthcare organizations.
Her teaching approach emphasizes applied learning and critical thinking, connecting health information standards, regulations, and data governance concepts to real-world healthcare operations. Her goal is to help students develop the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and professional confidence needed to successfully enter the health information management field and contribute to accurate, ethical, and effective management of health data.
