Checkout Policies & Periods
The COCC Libraries don't charge overdue fines, but there are consequences for not returning items on time.
- You may temporarily lose borrowing privileges until you bring overdue items back.
- You may lose service to overdue technology items.
- For items more than 30 days overdue, the Library will charge a replacement fee to your student account. Until resolved, this can prevent you from activities like registering for classes or requesting transcripts.
For information about account blocks and lost/damaged item fees, see Fines.
If you are experiencing financial or other troubles and have overdue or lost items, please contact us to see how we can work with you.

Available COCC Libraries items typically arrive within 1 to 2 business days. You'll receive an email when your items are ready.

Summit Libraries
If an item isn't available at the COCC Libraries, you can request it through Summit: a large group of community college and university libraries in the Pacific Northwest that share materials with one another. Summit library holdings are included in the COCC Libraries & Summit Catalog.
Summit items typically arrive within 2 to 3 business days. You'll receive an email when your items are ready.
How to Request Items through Summit
