Kanopy Film Orders

Due to costs, COCC Library uses a “mediated” version of the streaming video service Kanopy. When you search for a video, Kanopy will display the message:

"Access is currently limited, as per your library's request. For any titles that you are unable to access, please fill out the request form on that film's page."

For any video COCC has not yet purchased, you will be asked to fill out a request form. The form will ask you to identify yourself as a faculty member (choose “Academic”) or student. In the message of the request, please describe your intended use of the film, including the relevant COCC course number.

Course-related Kanopy video requests can be fulfilled within one business day, depending on the information provided in the form submission. If we need more information to make a decision, a librarian will follow up with you.

All streaming videos in Academic Video Online and Films on Demand are immediately available without request. You can search for streaming films from either provider using the Library Catalog. Filter search results to "streaming video."
