Wickiup Hall Packet Fence Connection Instructions

Important Info: 

Any gaming device, or device without a web browser, must be registered through the self-service portal in order to connect to this network. 
Many devices have a wireless MAC address and a wired MAC address. If you plan to use a device both wired and wirelessly, both addresses have to be registered. 

Wired Device: 

1. Connect device to a wall jack with an Ethernet cable.
2. Open a web browser to access the captive portal.
3. Login with your full COCC email address and password. EX. Example@cocc.edu.
4. Wait for registration loading page to complete.

Wireless Device:

1. Connect to wireless: cocc_bobcat.
2. Open a web browser/click on the sign into network message on mobile.
3. Login with your full COCC email address and password. EX. Example@cocc.edu.
4. When you see either of these screens close the window.

5. Turn off WI-FI on your device for one minute.
6. Turn on WI-FI and reconnect to cocc_bobcat.
7. If you see either of these screens after reconnecting, you did not disconnect for long enough.

Self-Service:

1. From a registered device open a web browser and head to
https://packetfence.wickiup.cocc.edu/device-registration.
2. Login with your full COCC email address and password. EX. Example@cocc.edu.
3. Click register another device.
4. Enter the MAC address of the device you wish to register, and hit register. Ex: aabbccddeeff.
5. After a minute, connect the device to the network.
